Although Grade 1/2 are caring for worms as our classroom pets at the moment, all the talk has been about the empty tank sitting at one end of the classroom. What’s that? What’s going to go in there? Children have been honing their argumentative skills in constructing persuasive (exposition) texts that convince the teacher why certain creatures should be chosen as pets.
